Bulkheads allow the player to "skip" certain expeditions, meaning you no longer need to complete every A tier level to access B tier. You can also analyze how bulkheads affect the lore and the progression of the rundown. (except they are labeled high, extreme, and overload). Instead, we got bulkheads, which basically combines 3 of the same boring expeditions, into one. This includes more optional rooms you can explore, different ways to progress through the level, more vertical gameplay. The community asked for more dynamic levels. With the addition of bulkheads and optional objectives in rundown 4, the game became needlessly complicated without adding any new experiences or content.

Game features in detail that cause GTFO's Main Problems: If you're like me and want to wait for the game that was advertised in the trailers, then wait to buy GTFO and keep it on your radar. If you want to play an un-immersive, repetitive, arcadey first-person shooter, GTFO is for you. Static and similar environments, game mechanics with very little depth, missions that are just repeated over and over again soullessly, and the addition of boring filler mechanics like bulkheads and boosters trash the immersion and the atmosphere, likening the game to a mediocre arcade shooter rather than the dynamic, atmospheric, and creepy co-op survival horror that was advertised in the trailers" (Sweeg 1). " The developers don't seem to care about the game's original concept. I think he summed the current state of GTFO perfectly. I'm going to quote a section from my friend Sweeg's steam review. In fact, the things the devs have added in rundown 4 & 5 take a large chunk out of the already scarce immersion and atmosphere, making the game feel like a hardcore run-around arcade shooter.

Update after update the game becomes more underwhelming, as the devs do not add features that enhance the immersion, atmosphere, or horror aspects of the game. It is apparent now that GTFO is going backward. The stealth mechanics have also been pushed aside, receiving no work since alpha. Unlike those two videos, the current game has very little immersion and horror. This game is VERY different from the game that was advertised in the 2017 trailer AND the 9 minutes of gameplay, which you can view on the Ten Chambers Youtube channel by clicking the links. GTFO is an AMAZING idea and WAS going in a good direction. The current state of the game and its direction: The game quickly becomes a hardcore arcade shooter. You will quickly learn the meta, which is kiting and bunny hopping around, killing every enemy with your melee. However, after your first 20-40 hours of gameplay, GTFO loses its horror aspect and the need to be quiet and stealthy. Having to rely on your 3 other teammates for support is the best part. GTFO will always be a 4 person hardcore cooperative game, and I hope it stays that way. The game heavily focuses on stealth mechanics, immersion, and horror. GTFO is a hardcore 4 player cooperative first-person shooter. Also, this review is open for comments (: Overall Review of GTFO and its Main Problems:

The second section: Game features in detail that cause GTFO's main problems, caters more toward existing players and devs to read/ compare thoughts. If you want a short read, only read the first section: Overall Review of GTFO and its Main Problems. This is a very comprehensive breakdown and review of GTFO. Although 300 hours is not a whole lot, I have fully played through and completed rundowns 1, 3, and 4. I have played over 300 hours of this game, 30 hours of the beta, and have played all 5 major updates. Please tell me if you agree or disagree with any of the points made. These are the main problems that have arisen throughout the development of this amazing game. This is a steam review for GTFO I posted a while ago, I decided to upload it here as well.
